I was wondering about how much $ we can reasonably expect to spend on buying a house- NOT including down payment or the purchase price. I am just talking about legal fees, realtor fees, land transfer tax, etc…

The seller pays the realtor fees. Call a lawyer in your region and ask what it would cost for the standard transaction as a buyer. They’ll likely give you a ball-park figure.

Work with an agent to find a house – they can advise you, and it doesn’t cost you anything.
