Was looking to become a real estate agent. Any current realtors on here? Is it a solid career? Good money? Fun? How long did it take? Exceptionally hard? Any feedback please!!

Realtors are licensed by province. I can only speak for Ontario.

After watching me for years, my oldest son decided to become an electrician. Wise choice I think.

The money can be very good indeed, but the average is nothing to write home about. Actually in my opinion it works pretty well as a second income for a family but as a primary or only source – there are problems. Money will be going out – even if no money is coming in.

It is fun, for the most part. Most of my clients have been delights. Most of the other agents I have dealt with have been honest and cooperative. There are others – you need to be tough – sooner or later some ass is going to threaten to sue you or report you or whatever.

Actually it doesn’t take that long and it isn’t that hard. I think you can do the courses and get licensed in ON in a few months. You will have to take more courses later. They aren’t very hard but some people manage to flunk them.
