I am thinking about going for my Real Estate License and just wondering if there is anyone out there with any advice or info about it. Are there jobs available? Is it enjoyable? Is the money good? What tips would you have for anyone just starting out? Anything you could tell me about the whole licensing process would be much appreciated, too. I live in BC, Canada.
Thanks!
Work as a salaried assistant first to see if you will like the business.
Can you sell new homes by home builders without a real estate license?
Real estate agents work at 100% commission and a home builder may offer benefits.
Ask if the real estate firm will pay for your training costs.
Ask your local board of realtors how many members they have, then you’ll find out how many competitors you’ll have in your marketplace.
